TRILOGIA CADELA FORÇA

Chapter III: Uma Luz Cordial

luzcordial_horizontal_alta.jpg

The third chapter of the CADELA FORÇA trilogy is titled Uma Luz Cordial

In recent years, Carolina Bianchi has repeatedly shaken the theatre world to its very foundations. With the first two parts of her Cadela Força Trilogy, she drew attention to the brutality of sexual violence and its consequences (The Bride and the Goodnight Cinderella) and to the complexity of looking closely the masters of male brotherhood intertwined with theatre history (The Brotherhood).

The Brazilian theatre-maker has received numerous awards and widespread acclaim for these first two chapters. She has now reached the final part Cadela Força Trilogy – Chapter III: A Cordial Light. The piece is a disproportional combination of drafts, notebooks, notes, and words from other writers, such as Brazilian author Hilda Hilst and the poet Emily Dickinson, and reveals the violent process of writing as an encounter with the enigma of one's own sexuality.  Carolina Bianchi appears as a subject in dissolution, presenting herself through different writer alter egos that enable herself to fulfil her fantasies, especially the fantasy of writing.
